Une équipe sur place qui travaille, rencontre, assemble, construit, enregistre et diffuse des contenus inouïs : concerts, interviews, discussions, reportages, playlists et autres surprises. Le projet est mené par trois passionné·es du son et de la radio : Clara Alloing, Jonathan Frigeri, Rudy Decelière accompagné·es par Perrine Cado, Simon Bordier et Doris.

AchiRadio est une expérience réinventée de l’écoute, offerte aux artistes et au public. Sous forme de matinale dédiée aux musiques et aux artistes d’Archipel, elle est accessible en direct chaque jour de 10h à 13h. Des playlists suivent en journée. Le projet permet également de constituer une archive du festival, disponible sur le site internet sous la forme de podcast audio.

Issue #1 is about conspiracy theories as an artistic form, about fear and how to handle it in a society that still struggles to figure out how it deals with text and code. It also revolves around the simple and, at the same time, very complex question of an existence proof with logic and language.

This record of Ombra Magnetica co-edited with Activerat, goes back to a residency by Eleonora Polato at the Q-O2 in Brussels and a project that she realised there together with Jonathan Frigeri in 2016. Now the vinyl record is available, together with a beautiful text by Julia Eckhardt.

Eleonora Polato (Anita) and Jonathan Frigeri (Johnny Haway) bring to life a sounding ecosystem of scattering objects, set in vibration by transducers. This set of objects generates a ghostly sound, a thick texture of crackles, tremors, pulsations and feedbacks that merge and resonate in a captivating way.

It was and remains necessary to see the radio not only as a medium but also as art.
Radio art is discordant with radio and music in their traditional perceptions. Music in particular, in its classical diffusion, does not adapt efficiently to the radio medium, because it is not designed for this medium and does not take consideration of its specificity and its paradigms.

Radio should avoid dealing with finite temporal objects with a beginning, a middle and an end, as to avoid to have comprehensible form and avoid the way of predictable appearance. That means having an open acoustic final result and welcoming the idea of losing the control. Considering that we never know how the music is heard, every radio listeners’ ear perceives a different piece and creates its final version from a framework of possibilities.

This restriction has always shaped this kind of art more than could the restriction of the five staves from the musical notation storage medium ever define composition. And we believe that all this paradigms have to be considered while creating music for radio. From the side of the broadcaster and the side of the listeners.
